Teakdecking Systems (TDS) Hires New Director of Engineering and Design – Michael Hartline
(Sarasota, Florida) Teakdecking Systems is growing its Engineering and Design capabilities by hiring a new Director of Engineering and Design, Michael Hartline. He is an accomplished naval architect with over 30 years of experience, holding distinguished leadership roles along the East and West coasts of the U.S.
Michael graduated from Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology in 2001, with a Professional Diploma in Naval Architecture, earning his degree while working as a product development engineer. Mike held key positions with CABO Yachts, as Director of Operations at the Adelanto, CA, operation and transitioned to Director of Operations at the New Bern, NC operation. He also worked as Program Manager for Hatteras Yachts and as Senior Naval Architect for Brunswick Boat Group. His most recent role was Director of Engineering for Ocean Alexander yachts.

Teakdecking Systems will benefit from Michael’s experience in leading complex programs from concept to product launch, including preliminary and final design review processes; developing and implementing new product review processes to improve program development cycle timing; driving continuous improvement through products; introducing new products; and managing a product portfolio.
